A dramatic scene unfolded in Gurugram on Friday after hundreds of candidates, who had come to appear for the SSC CGL 2025 exam, were left shocked to learn that their test had been cancelled. The incident took place at MM Public School in Sector 4, where frustration quickly turned into unrest.

According to officials, candidates grew angry over the sudden cancellation and allegedly damaged the school’s main gate. Police were immediately called to control the situation and pacify the agitated crowd.

Why the SSC CGL Exam Was Cancelled

Explaining the disruption, centre head Manoj Gupta said the SSC server faced technical glitches during the first shift of the examination. Although the server was restored later, candidates from the first batch created a ruckus, preventing the second shift aspirants from entering the venue.

“The exam has been cancelled due to technical problems in the SSC server. While the server began functioning again after the first shift, candidates from that shift caused a disturbance and prevented the second shift examinees from entering the venue. The police were called to restore order,” Gupta clarified.

Police Response in Gurugram

A police team was dispatched to the school after receiving reports of chaos. Officers managed to calm the candidates and bring the situation under control.

A senior police officer confirmed that, as of now, no formal complaint has been lodged by the school management regarding the damage.
