On a recent Saturday, the World of Statistics shared a list of companies with leaders of Indian origin in the highest positions. This caught the attention of Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla.

The World of Statistics posted this list on its social media account (formerly known as Twitter), which highlighted 21 companies led by CEOs of Indian origin. Some of these CEOs include Sundar Pichai from Alphabet, Ajay Banga from the World Bank Group, Sanjay Mehrotra from Micron Technology, and Shantanu Narayen from Adobe. Elon Musk, in response to this list, simply commented “Impressive” on his micro-blogging account.

Recently, Vaibhav Taneja, who is also of Indian origin, took over as the new Chief Financial Officer of Tesla after Zachary Kirkhorn stepped down from the position. Kirkhorn, who had been with Tesla for 13 years, shared on his LinkedIn account that he was leaving his role and expressed gratitude towards Elon Musk for his leadership and positive outlook.

Kirkhorn’s post stated, “This morning, Tesla announced that I’ve stepped down from my role as chief financial officer, succeeded by our chief accounting officer, Vaibhav Taneja. Being a part of this company is a special experience and I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done together since I joined over 13 years ago.” He also praised the hardworking Tesla employees and thanked Elon Musk for being an inspiring leader.
