Airtel Brings Apple Music to Prepaid Plans
Bharti Airtel is expanding its digital services in India by reportedly rolling out free Apple Music subscriptions for prepaid users. Until now, the Apple partnership was reserved for Airtel’s postpaid and broadband subscribers, but the telecom giant seems ready to extend the offer to its massive prepaid customer base.
The move comes just weeks after Airtel grabbed headlines for giving away Perplexity AI Pro a premium AI tool worth nearly ₹17,000 annually to select users. Together, these offers highlight Airtel’s growing focus on bundling entertainment and productivity subscriptions with its core connectivity services.

Offer Spotted on Airtel Thanks App
According to Telecom Talk, several prepaid customers have already noticed the new Apple Music banner inside the Airtel Thanks app. The offer includes up to six months of free access, after which the subscription will renew automatically at ₹119 per month.
While Airtel has not issued an official statement yet, reports suggest the offer isn’t limited to high-value unlimited 5G plans. Even users on smaller recharges have spotted the free trial option, making it more widely available. To check eligibility, customers are advised to log into the Airtel Thanks app.
Airtel’s Digital Bundling Strategy
This free Apple Music deal is part of Airtel’s digital bundling push, which integrates global and Indian platforms with recharge packs. Back in February 2025, Airtel partnered with Apple to bring both Apple TV+ and Apple Music to postpaid and broadband customers. The extension to prepaid plans now dramatically increases the reach of these services in India.
Beyond Music: OTT Platforms Included
Airtel has also been revamping its prepaid packs to offer more than just data and calling. Some recent recharge bundles include access to over 25 popular OTT platforms, such as Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLIV, Lionsgate Play, Hoichoi, SunNxt, and Aha covering entertainment across 16+ languages.
With the addition of Apple Music, Airtel is positioning itself as not just a telecom operator but a digital lifestyle provider blending connectivity, entertainment, and productivity into one package.
