Udaipur is a city located in Rajasthan, it is also called the city of lakes. The place is full of palaces, lakes, and temples.This a perfect place to travel with your family or friends.

The city palace is located on the banks of Lake Pichola and was built 

nearly 400 years ago by Maharana Udai Singh II. 

Every udaipur palace in the city has his own story behind. If you are an admirer of architecture then this palace is a must visit. 

It has the perfect blend of Medieval, European, and Chinese architecture. The palace has mirror work, wall paintings, silverwork, marble work, and many more. This is one of the known places for Udaipur Tourism.

You can visit this place anywhere between 9:30 am to 5:30 pm and the entrance fee will be around 30/- Rs for each person and camera free will be around 200/- Rs. 

Lake Palace, Udaipur

The palace is also known as taj lake palace Udaipur. This palace was built by Maharaja Jagat Singh II and is now operated by Taj Groups. 

This is one of the romantic places to stay in Udaipur and they offer a great stay with a great view. 

The rooms here will cost you around 37,000rs for 1 night. This place is filled with mouldings and sculpted marbles. One of the best places on the Udaipur Tourism list.

You can also visit the palace between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. The entry fee for this palace is 400/- Rs per head.

Maharana Pratap Memorial, Udaipur

Maharana Pratap is one of the kings who protected this nation, culture, and freedom of this country by sacrificing his life. 

This museum has covered everything that will take you back to the era. The founder of this place is Mohan Lal Shrimali Ji. One of the great place to add to the list of Udaipur Tourism.

The museum is open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and the entry fee is 20/- Rs per person. 

Jiyan Sagar, Udaipur

One of the popular places to visit in Udaipur. The place was built by Maharana Raj Singh and the lake was named after his mother Jana Devi. 

It was built to deal with the problem of famine. The place is open from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. 

There is no entrance fee but you can take a boat ride which will cost around 30/- Rs per head. 

Vintage Car Museum

If you are crazy about cars this place is a must-visit when you plan a trip to Udaipur. 

This place has a collection of rare and old vintage cars. The owner of this Museum is Arvind Singh. 

The Museum is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The entry fee is 400/- Rs per person. The drawback is you can’t get a closer look at the vehicles.

You can get to see the paintings on the walls while in Udaipur.

The udaipur weather normally has dry and hot tropical climate so don’t plan your visit during summer as the city is covered with deserts. 

And the best time to visit is during winter that is from December – February. The weather during the day will be 25°C and during the night it will be close to 8°C.

  • Ahmedabad to Udaipur distance: 290 km; Travel Time: 6 to 7 hrs 
  • Rajasthan to Udaipur distance: 360 km; Travel time: 6 to 7 hrs
  • Mumbai to Udaipur distance: 760 km; Travel Time: 13 hrs 
  • Bangalore to Udaipur distance: 1,720 km; Travel Time: 29 to 30 hrs
Railway :

The Udaipur railway station is located 3 km from the main city. There are regular trains from the major cities. From the station, you can book a taxi and reach your destination.
